It made the transition for me pretty seamless. Twilights was new to me at Stafford, but I was told not to bother going to Wigan :-(
Barry Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 (edited) When mention of Stafford is made, let us not forget that it was also, with the aid of the forward thinking jocks, (the left over shrapnel that was) the hardcore of Northern Soul Boys & Girls, the believers and the dancers that truly kept the faith through those, supposed, tough sparse years. Those, then, kids didn't see themselves as keeping the torch burning, they were there as they are now, simply for the love. It wasn't hard, it was instinct. Edited December 21, 2007 by Barry
Ian Dewhirst Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 When mention of Stafford is made, let us not forget that it was also, with the aid of the forward thinking jocks, (the left over shrapnel that was) the hardcore of Northern Soul Boys & Girls, the believers and the dancers that truly kept the faith through those, supposed, tough sparse years. Those, then, kids didn't see themselves as keeping the torch burning, they were there as they are now, simply for the love. It wasn't hard, it was instinct. Hence the reason why it would nice to document it. Also, I suspect that a lot of people out there would like some 80's packages - especially if they weren't there at the time (like me). Let's not forget that the vast audience from the 70's had most of their 'missing years' in the 80's and 90's, so they've got some catching up to do to fill-in the jigsaw puzzle of that period......... I notice Dave didn't take me up on the offer of a shindig in his barn LOL..... Ian D
