John Benson Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Great CD but I'm pretty sure I've got "How Can I" on a 12" (White Label Promo) too. It is, of course, a version of the Corey Blake Capitol 45. Sean Do you mean the Kent 12" with Art Gentry "This is my chance" - I think might be on there also (or is it just "Tin man"?
Sean Hampsey Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Do you mean the Kent 12" with Art Gentry "This is my chance" - I think might be on there also (or is it just "Tin man"? That's the one John (from memory). Almost certain it's on there. Not been able to get at my records for 5 month otherwise I'd go and check Sean
Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 If you're wanting more versions, Leon, Phillip Mitchell's original cut is one one of the two CDs that Grapevine did of his demos a few years back. There's little to choose between the three IMO, but Cicero 'Corey' Blake probably just shades it...
Ady Croasdell Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 It's also on a recent Kent City 7" vinyl 45 release with the Pretenders A Broken Heart Cries on the flip. Limited edition though so be quick, when they're gone, they're gone
Guest MOLLY Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 No where near as good as Corey Blake IMHO, the production is far superior and wins hands down
Steve G Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 That's the one John (from memory). Almost certain it's on there. Not been able to get at my records for 5 month otherwise I'd go and check Sean It is on the 12 Sean - but I think Ady only did 40 of them, so it's pretty 'ard! Ady did it for the DJ's. I didn't get one, but Sam did. Sam being Sam he sold his....to me

I didn't get one, but Sam did. Sam being Sam he sold his....to me It was actually just short of 100, 80 or 90 something. i had about 6 Corey Blakes and sold them for a few quid each; not the smartest.

Ady Croasdell Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 That makes it worse Ady - I still didn't get one You were working as a journo for the gutter press (Back Beat!). Those exposes on my flairs probably blew your chances.

Ady Croasdell Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 Sam didn't, he had mine. Question, why did i bloddy sell it !?!?! And it's an Album not a 12 ! We thought of it as an 8 track 12", but it's debatable.
Guest Gavin Page Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 We thought of it as an 8 track 12", but it's debatable. Album in my book
