Guest Juddy Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 I've recently acquired two records i can't find much info on. Anybody know anything about these two - where or when they're from, any plays on the scene, price, whatever? The Inspirations - Tell Daddy - PKC version of the clarence carter record, sounds like a white garage band, but pretty damn good. Pyramid - Earthquake Shake - Moe fairly good modern-ish thing; sure is hard to search the web for a record label called "Moe"... thanks! juddy pittsburgh ps - it's your duty as soul fans to give a li'l prayer for the steelers against the new england patriots today. the patriots are all that is soulless in american football. the steelers have rare soul and funk records *about* them. you decide...

Guest Juddy Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 well i am hoping the steelers take 'em down. if the eagles nearly beat them, the steelers certainly should. Well, the football game went about as well as this post... BUMP - anybody got any ideas about these rekkids?
Sebastian Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 BUMP - anybody got any ideas about these rekkids? I don't know much about it, but I like the Pyramid 45 on Moe. A heavy out-and-out "deep funk" dancer to my ears. It seems to be very obscure and because of that hasn't really got a set "value" as far as I know.
