Please, could somebody tell me, how to spot an original or an boot of: The Incredibles There's nothing else to say / Another dirty deal on the green Audio Arts label Thanks, Martin According to JM's book, the original has a 4 turn run in groove and the boot a 2 turn run in. Just checked mine, phew original ( and for sale) Julian

Just checked mine, phew original ( and for sale) Julian Hi Martin Originally on a Blue Label. This Scan is from popsike.com, I think. Pre, AMY Mala Bell Distribution Credit. I have it on White DEMO and Green Stock Copy, AMY Mala Bell Distribution. If you require any Deadwax Info I will have a look. Here Is the BOOT, the first one I bought. -----------* BOOT * -Click On Label for Closer Look at the Label -----------* BOOT * Apart from the Run in Groove, The label has a Shiny but Rough embossed appearance. A bit like the Johnny Moore BOOT on DATE. Almost like it is sprayed onto rough Vinyl. Just looks wrong close up. Edited August 21, 2008 by 45cellar
Soulie78 Posted December 9, 2007 Author Posted December 9, 2007 Thanks a lot, to both of you! You're stars. Mine looks like an original than. So I'm very pleased...I have it so long, I couldn't remember in which circumstances I bought it, but everything is fine now. Martin

Is the Blue copy the original west coast (L.A.) release, and the Green AMY MALA BELL copies the east coast distribution? But both at the same original promotional time of the release.

But both at the same original promotional time of the release. I was under the Impression that the Blue copies WITHOUT Amy Mala Bell were the first for this release. I seem to think there is a White DEMO without Amy Mala Bell Credits. AMY Mala Bell then picking up the rights for National Distribution. I would Imagine that regarding the time of Promotion there is little in it between the two. I will check the Matrix on the other numbers. Edited January 5, 2008 by 45cellar
45cellar Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 (edited) ANY GOOD?? CHRIS It is actually, Is that a Monarch Press with Delta number I wonder. Edited January 5, 2008 by 45cellar 1

Is the Blue copy the original west coast (L.A.) release, and the Green AMY MALA BELL copies the east coast distribution? But both at the same original promotional time of the release. The Earlier Audio Arts is a Monarch Delta Being a West Coast Label, the Blue Label copies that I have are all Monarch Press. I do see your point, and I'm wondering if the change came about when Picked up by Amy Mala Bell and Distributed Nationally. Further Evidence of Vinyl Monarch Delta # Later in the Label, which is no surprise as it is a West Coast Label. Edited January 5, 2008 by 45cellar

Sebastian Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 -----------* BOOT * -----------* BOOT * Apart from the Run in Groove, The label has a Shiny but Rough embossed appearance. A bit like the Johnny Moore BOOT on DATE. Almost like it is sprayed onto rough Vinyl. Just looks wrong close up. So what do we make of this one? 4 turns in the run-in, great sound quality, handwritten 7078 and 7079 in the run-out grooves, but looks like the scan of the bootleg. This copy has got the same kind of "watery" colouring as for example the AMY/MALA/BELL distributed Tou-Sea label (if you pour water on the label, the colour will come off... I did that with a copy of Mill Evans once... ).

What a coincidence, I was just about to ask the same question : I have just bought this, I thought it was a boot, it has 4 turn run in and 7078 & 7079 scratched in run-out. So I guess this is an original, I have always had the blue copies before. Thanks Chris L

Thanks Chris L Perfectly OK, Just a Label Variation & possibly a later batch. looking at the Title (The AMY Mala Bell White DEMO & The Light Green Stock Copy I bought from Soul Bowl in the 1970's). Some Stock Copies are Dark Green like the copy Sebastian has. The first Pre AMY Mala Bell - Blue Label has the Harder to find White DEMO (Styrene Monarch) I have only just obtained this DEMO (Yesterday 21-08-08) Following years of searching. Thanks Mate, Regarding Pictures, (It was trial and error), difficult to capture on a Photograph. I believe that they were done around the Same time. I know that I bought them together, from the same Source.

We bought a decent Scanner last year & I borrow my Daughters 10.1 Mega Pixel Camera. Even using a combination of the two. Some of the Matrix Details are virtually Impossible to capture.

45cellar Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 (edited) Just to recap, Has Anyone seen a DEMO for the Light Green Version with Title Spread over 2 Lines. No problem regarding it's authenticity just wondering. I have these so far for the next Release 60,007. (Think there is a Multi-Coloured Copy) - Not sure if there is a Light Green Label Variation for this one. Edited December 19, 2008 by 45cellar
45cellar Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Incredibly Remarkable They certainly had a Theme going with these names Lived up to it though.
