Nice tune, got the Lp, but there's soooooooooooooo many,

For a lp that's's got it all'

Linda Jones - hypnotized

William & Watson - two for the price of one

Four Tops - 1st & 2nd albums

Just a few I can think off.

Hi just a few good album tracks played at the Wheel were Jackie Wilson You can count on me, Someboddy up there like you,Williams & Watson Two for the price of one also Too Late {but obviously before the single was found}A lot of love Taj Mahal,Carrying on Lou Rawls and a few by Earl Van Dyke.

Hi Ken ,We didn.t know Taj Mahal was on a single in 1969 but it was the inside track on a CBS rock sampler album and was cut down to single size,best we could do. cheers Brian

Would have sounded intersting but surely nowhere near as popular as the original by Homer Banks.He was god like at that time with 60 minutes/Hooked etc

Homer Banks version had been re-released by then and wasn't played at the Wheel after 1968, Taj Mahal was just a change that's all,Hooked by love was still getting played by the great Homer Banks.Hole in the wall was played by the Dynatones again a change from The Packers and the best version by far George Stone.The Herbie Mann records escapes me at the moment apart from Philly Dog wichh got a few plays.

im gonna change,f/v+the 4 seasons,new gold hits lp track,discovered by kev roberts i think?? remember it being played at the casino around 75/76 ish still love the tune and it blows the velours out of the water imo. :thumbsup:

Played out long before that. first heard it late 72 early 73 I think somewhere in the potteries though the old memory is a bit fuzzy .As regards fav lp track at the moment I,m loving James Brown,s "Lost Someone" off the Hell albumn :thumbsup:

I would not dare touch a choon like this but is was well done.

For me it has to be the Supremes and The Four Tops LP Dynamite. The track is called "Do you love me just a little,honey". The way Levi Stubbs and Jean Terrell compliment each other is just awesome. A very unlikely pairing but it works so so well. Levi is absolutely outstanding. smile.gif You can get a copy for about £20 and its on American Motown and British Tamla Motown. I guarantee you wont be disappointed, I'd even recommend buying it blind its that good :lol: I got my copy off Chris Anderton, he normally has a few copies.

For me it has to be the Supremes and The Four Tops LP Dynamite. The track is called "Do you love me just a little,honey". The way Levi Stubbs and Jean Terrell compliment each other is just awesome. A very unlikely pairing but it works so so well. Levi is absolutely outstanding. :rolleyes: You can get a copy for about £20 and its on American Motown and British Tamla Motown. I guarantee you wont be disappointed, I'd even recommend buying it blind its that good :shades: I got my copy off Chris Anderton, he normally has a few copies.

Yes absolutely brilliant and not to get confused with his 45 of the same name which is totally different!

Another great album track for me is - People do change by Round Robin Monopoly on Truth records -
