Can anyone give me some pointers on artists performing Marvin Gayes-esque Tunes from the 1970s or 1980s?

Can anyone give me some pointers on artists performing Marvin Gayes-esque Tunes from the 1970s or 1980s?

I'll give you a few from the 90's

Blaze "I Wonder" 25 Years Later CD Motown 1990.

Art Madison "Blowing My Mind","Inside Of You","In This World(We're Living" and "Gonna Take Time" Into The A.M CD JVK 1993 Very influenced by "I Want You".

El Debarge "Heart Mind and Soul" Heart Mind And Soul CD Reprise 1994 another "I Want You" pastiche.

Gerald Levert "Have Mercy" Groove On CD Eastwest 1994.

Also from 1987 The Jade "Mr Joy" L.P Timeless.

JR Bailey Just U and Me lp, mid 70's heavy marvin tones

Leroy Hutson, One track in particular which I forgotten, I'll check for you..

Tom Brock Love you More and More, always reminds me of Marvin.

They are Marvin 'Whats Going On' period soundalikes, to my ears anyhow.

I got it on a UK 7, artist escapes me!

Thaks all for the replys, I am familiar with the El Debarge, GeralD Levert, Frankie Kelly, Bailey & Kirkland and Hutson tunes, but will dig through the Blaze CD (which i have) and try to find the Jade track.

Anymore Marvinesque gems?
