Guest posstot Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Mary Moultrie I gotta hum Americana recording (label?) got this 45, label is correct - americana recording 1002 rare 45 which when ive played out seems to get a lot of attention, have had a couple of offers on this but am sorry to say not for sale, regards a value its a hard one had someone offer me £40 seen on a old list for £250. i suppose if it got some proper airing from a top dj then we might see the true value. an excellent atmospheric midtempo early r&b 45 with awesome vocals from mary. have put up on here in the past regards any info/value etc, got no replies! purchased as a buy it now of ebay.com $1.99 bargain a couple of years ago blind buy of her king outing - try to tear us apart. happy hunting russ thanks for that russ....i keep searching ebay myself...best place for little finds. Like the one you have obviously had yourself with mary there...$1.99 you jammy b*****d!!!, not that i'm jealous.lols..and all the best, Mike...[.if you like that sort of stuff come down to culcheth, 1st feb 08, soulful shack. playing that sort of stuff and long forgotten "quality" items rare soul (rnb)] also looking to book some like minded collectors/d.j's if you're interested. Our first guest on the night is Mike Warburton from the hideaway... ...you still have to pay to get in though..do you yhink we're made of money!! thanks again Mike

Stillsoulin Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Wow, Mary Moultie gotta hum, I used to play this at the 86 club early doors, late 80,s, got mine off Koppell a long time ago, no body i have spoke to ever knows this, as you say great atmospheric tune. Sorry mine not for sale either and never seen another copy, pretty obscure record me thinks. rob h.
