Guest the dukester Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Just a question on this 45......... Seen/Heard values on this Mica 45 ranging from £100/£150 Could someone preferably (Record Dealers) comment on the true value. Speculation is not required thanks. Dukesy
pikeys dog Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Paid £60 for mine a couple of years ago and thought it was a fair price
Pete S Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Paid £60 for mine a couple of years ago and thought it was a fair price Agree, 50-60, different version of jimmy robins isn't it?
pikeys dog Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 It is a different production.... and it's credited to James Robbins if I'm not mistaken....
Guest Johnny Mack Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Didnt the Roy Wright also come out on Vick with a good flipside as well ? What does the Vick release fetch these days ? - Dont seem to see it about at all, albeit seen a number of the Mica copies in recent times. John Agree, 50-60, different version of jimmy robins isn't it?
Steve Edgar Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 (edited) Agree, 50-60, different version of jimmy robins isn't it? Same version, only difference is in the Vinyl to me and one fades out a second or two before the other the Mica one first tho the timings on record label sugests Jerhart to be shorter steve Edited November 19, 2007 by Soul-Integrity
Shsdave Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Agree, 50-60, different version of jimmy robins isn't it? 35 quid from Pete Smith a few years ago Seems to be up around 100 these days
Guest Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Its a very slightly different cut a little bit rougher and not as polished, ive played it and got comments like......"It dont sound right mate" Certainly a nice obscurity and the bonus of Roy Wright on the flip. Price wise I guess it depends on what someone is willing to pay for a rarer version, I always introduce it as James Robbins and get a few strange looks ....and thats just from the wife
Pomonkey Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 As well as this Mica release (prefer the Hook line and sinker side to be honest) I have a blue-eyed cover of Jimmy Robbins which is killer and always gets a lot of questions, and bizarrely a Spanish language version too but that's not so good other than the momentary novelty value!
