Ernie Andrews Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Maybe its got to do with a prevoius sales thread comment I made ! Does anyone think the quality of sound is different between the IMpala copies and the Mr genius Copies?
Guest Kevin J Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 i think it might be that the other one that was listed for sale sold for half the price yesterday. yes, great tune and worth the price listed here.

boba Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 I am surprised that this 45 has not been snapped up! Mr.Manship has a vg+ Impala issue for £200. The advantage of the Mr.Genius release is that it is vinyl, but the recording and sound quality are the same if the record is in good nick. The Impala release is the 1st, 1962 with the groups' name correctly spelt Del-Cords. The Mr.Genius release was pressed in 1963. Hi. Where are you getting these dates from? I think that the record definitely sounds later than 1962. Thanks.

Shsdave Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Relying on memory for the release dates instead of checking. Getting old!!!!!! Del-Cords/Your Mommy Lied To Your Daddy-Impala 214 ZTSP 95232 Pressed by Columbia Pressing Plant, New York 1964 Del-Chords/Your Mommy Lied To Your Daddy-Mr.Genius 1965 I love the record but unfortunately somebody should have told the sound engineer to switch the lead mic on !!!!!! I reckon a lot of people are put off this record for that reason..shame
