Guest Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 Francis Nero Keep On Loving Me Soul Demo it looks a bit strange to me all others I have seen have the Soul logo across the top this one is printed down the left hand side The vinyl is machine stamped with the RCA style of matrix number but it has also got an MR stamp with the delta mark beginning with the number 6 and is also on styrene. Tommy Frontera. Leading Lady On A label called Quality and with a Bell Sound stamp on the matrix Is this a second issue as on the label it says by arrangement with Hi-Lite records? Any info on values would be welcome as well
Gene-r Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 Hi, 1. Most, if not all, demos on Soul have the label design you describe. The delta matrix number beginning with 6 further proves its authenticity, indicating that it was pressed around 1965 - 1966 (making the MR stamp immaterial). Valuewise, I'd guess at about £100 - £125. 2. The Tommy Frontera on Quality sounds to me like a Canadian release. No idea on value for this one, but would guess at probably the same for a US copy on Hi-Lite (about £80 - £100?). Hope this helps. Best, Gene
