Chalky Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Martin Brogan (I think) did me a tape years ago of cover versions by "non" soul artists. Sure this was on it. Will have to have a root through the cupboard and see if I can find it.
Guest SteveC Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 thanks steve its canny innit Adore the man - did so much Northernesque stuff on many albums and its only his name and colour that stopped people playing them. Heard a lot worse. If I get time may even put some other similar bits he done up.

Snagged a copy of this (ebay $24.99) with what's described as the 'outdoors cover' .. Bit of a strange one as was only familier with the flaming issue? Item number: 250022919123

Bit of a strange one as was only familier with the flaming issue? Item number: 250022919123 was it not the case that the "Atomic bomb" cover was dropped for the US market as it was felt to be inappropriate for them, steve btw a great album with some fantastic beat ballads on

Steve Edgar Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 I must admit i keep going back to, The Loser, from the Atomic LP. a good beat ballad of the highest order. ROB H. Totally agree Rod, I just love Tom's rendition of this, even more then The Skyliners, which I have on flip ov "Everything Is Fine" on Jubilee (which was first vers Id heard) Tom defo does it for me on this! I'll send up Tom's version steve
Anoraks Corner Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 As you can probably guess, i'm a closet Jones fan. I have quite a few...ahem...I mean I could possibly get you some Japanese releases, if you want? May I throw two more into the arena: 'Things I wanna do' - a wonderful beat-ballad/mid-tempo mover...full orchestration job 'Never give away love' - in the same stomping vein as, 'Stop breaking my heart'.
