Cheers Simon I've got the one you want but I don't rate the Harry Starr as quite the same price
Simsy Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 (edited) I haven't got the one you want*, but I do rate Harry Starr. Didn't seem a lot between the two price-wise on Popsike. *my humble swaps thread is at the bottom of this section. Edited October 24, 2007 by Ian Sims

Didn't seem a lot between the two price-wise on Popsike. *my humble swaps thread is at the bottom of this section. What the f*ck has popsike got to do with anything and why do people keep quoting it as a reliable source for prices, that's what I want to know. It gives AUCTION results. I know how to value records without the help of auction results, and those auction results are the outcome of people bidding against one another, which means the price is usually false! This rant isn't aimed at you Ian, it's just that people seem to have lost the skill that used to be required to be a record seller, now they have their price guides and popsikes and ebays, before you had to have it "up here". Knowledge gained over years and years of experience buying, selling and looking at records on lists or at venues. It's all short cuts nowadays. And another thing. That popsike site does not collate all ebay auction results and most price guides are out on 80% of titles. Edited October 24, 2007 by Pete S

That popsike site does not collate all ebay auction results and most price guides are out on 80% of titles. Fair point. Though I still see Popsike as (along the lines of) a recording of what people are willing to pay for records. To me that's better than nothing, because I don't know what you know. I'll take cash Ian if you're interested, £200? Simon So erm not keen on me swapsiz then?
Guest Simon Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 So erm not keen on me swapsiz then? They're very nice Ian but i'll pass on this occasion! Simon
Guest Roccia Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Simon, have a look to my Trades/Swaps post... I would give you both records for your H Starr. Even if you don't like those records, you can sell them for a good £300...

Hi Roccia, Thankyou for the very kind offer but i only want to swap the Harry Starr if it's something i really want or a solid £200 cash, i'm quite happy to keep it as it's superb, it's just i think Tony Middleton is even better! I've already got a copy of the Four Below Zero, i do like the Lee Roye it's a solid record but not one i'm really after. Cheers mate Simon
