Corbett80 Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 I have this on RCA and I believe it also came out on Shield.....whats the first issue of it? Great record as J-Brew said
Soul Shrews Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Yes mulf, came out on Shield Have it on German RCA too Never heard of the Black Magic one thought Shield was the original Cheers Paul
Jason S Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 (edited) Here's a scan of the Black Magic issue. To be honest I always assumed this was the first issue - the band's crack at it before TK picked it up (?) Edited October 26, 2007 by J-Brew

If it was a boot surely it'd be more plentiful and would have been 'flagged' as such by now. That said anything's possible I guess so it'd be interesting to know more .

I have no memory of seeing it on Black Magic in the 70's, but nobody knows everything. 2 of their releases are on Sheild, check out the great 'Swing', popular tune at Yate. I also have one of those 7"-33 1/3 things by them as well, called 'Keep rolling', but this just isn't as good as the Shield releases. I've seen the Black Magic one advertised as a west coast release, which is even more odd, as they are definatly a East Coast group. Edited October 27, 2007 by Dave Thorley

There's no info regarding pressing origin in the run out other than the group name and 'Side 1'/'Side 2' (on the wrong sides as it happens ) Not for me that 'Swing', no sir Edited October 27, 2007 by J-Brew
