I've never heard the Kylie version of "Time Will Pass You By"....... is it any good?

Actually yes, in all seriousness it's not bad at all - and certainly no more nor less of a soul record than Tobi Legend

Here is one I would love to hear ......

Ramsey Lewis " Mouldy Old Dough " .......

But seriously  what we need is to have had these artists covering favourite childhood songs .......

Little Richard " The Ugly Duckling "

Eddie Holman " The Teddy Bears Picnic "

David Ruffin " Two Little Boys "

Edwin Starr " Little White Bull "

The Temptations " Three Wheels On My Wagon "

Garnett Mimms " Puff The Magic Dragon "

Mitch Ryder " The Laughing Policeman "

Tony Clarke " Nellie The Elephant "

Yvonne Baker " On The Good Ship Lollipop "

Roy Hamilton " I Taut I Taw A Puddy Tat"

Eddie & Ernie " On The Trail Of The Lonesome Pine "

That is definately my last contribution on this subject ......

Did you know, Malc, that Dick Van Dyke did the original of "Three Wheels On My Wagon", on Jamie?

Or that it was co-written by Burt Bacharach?

Both of these statements are 100% honest to God's truth!

Can't imagine that it would have given him much 'deep joy'...

And as that time of year is nearly upon us again...(?)

If a re-release of PERRY COMO`S two classic albums (Perry Como Sings Merry Christmas Music (RCA 1957), Perry Como Sings The Songs Of Christmas (RCA 1958) is on the cards- consider this as an additional track, my learned friends and colleagues...

Done in the same style and tempo as his classic "LET IT SNOW" (complete with sleigh bells).....His version of The Invitations (and Beach Girls) classic "SKIING IN THE SNOW" ..Imagine it..Think it would work??

:D
