Thinking about stuff we've bought blind, records we have grown tired of etc. Threads of lists of records up for swapsiz ... I know people list records for sale/trade, but how many trades actually go on? Would a bespoke swaps section be of interest? Maybe records you hadn't thought of selling specifically, but there's usually a few that we're not fussed about that others might well be ... Anyway as said would welcome your views.

Great idea uncannily i was thinking along same lines a bit back myself ,great for people who arent lookin for profit but happily exchanging someone elses wants for your current wants. Nev

I'm not sure about a seperate section, though, because most of the times I've traded it's been for people's sale items. Most people selling are open to trade since they're selling to get other records. Having a separate section would just mean two places to look.

SUPPOSE THE SIMPLE ANSWER IS TO LIST IN SALES AND PUT "TRADES OR SWAPS" AS WELL AS FOR SALE !

Does everyone necessarily know that a seller is going to be up for a trade though? I know folk sell records to buy more, but I'm thinking of people like Bearsy as he posted above, don't like selling records, but would post a list for purely trades. That way he's lost nothing? Some of these records are expensive as we know too well. Thought maybe this way would be more out in the open... Sort or redistribution of soul as it were! Could be though lists for trades would mean more swapsiz taking place (I know I'd look) and if people end up outing what they consider is a crap record in return for a good one and vice versa for just the cost of postage, that is what may be interesting to pursue further? Indeed which is why perhaps a dedicated swaps section may be worth looking into?

Cheers Steve, Wanted to get some opinions on the worth of it. Seems pretty positive so far. Still welcome anymore opinion? Swaps/Trades section could be subsection of Sales (under Ebay). Will advise.
