Guest Johnny One Trout Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 Not being funny or anything but what lunatic thought that it could ever be a viable financial proposition to rebuild a clapped out victorian shit hole? Forget the memories through rose coloured glasses and everything but who in their right mind thinks that the scene could successfully regress to a dominant weekly all nighter in wigan. It's been a carpark longer than it was a nighter let it goooooooooooooo

If they were to ever rebuild the Casino, I just hope they'd get some better plumbers for the 'gents'. Also talk about one-coat cover it all paint, it must have been invented in one colour and it certainly did cover all, more noticeable at first light - oh and the colour in question - BLACK!! Food-wise . . er . . those pasties always seemed to be the one's on display from the nighter before the nighter before, perhaps they'd have to rethink that as well, and what about that bloody deep puddle in the gutter just within pushing distance of the doors?? But the place was a dump, being knocked down was the best thing for it. And long may it stay knocked down.......IMO
Guest Richard Bergman Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 Is that geezer in the bottom left corner of the demise photos still in the queue for the niter with the faint hope of it reopening , Winstanley is behind him just outta shot
Guest Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 what a pity shazzer you stopped going to wigan in 1976.it had its best spell between 1977/81.In my opinion.I think a certain richard searling enjoyed latter part of wigan as well. There was also alot of great discoveries found in the late wigan era as well.
