Guest Fredrik
Hi, I take offers on these two. Pm or email to funky_horn(at)hotmail.com . Both are M- in company sleeve. Touch of class - Love means everything/Said it before - Midsong Here's one that rarely shows up for sale. Both sides are great but the real killer IMO is "Love means..." which is only available on this rare issue. A firm favourite of mine since I first heard Karl M play it. Non of the tracks are on the Midsong lp but were later released on the rare Stack-of-Hits lp in extended and(?) different mixes. Will post soundfiles up below. Brief Encounter - Get a good feeling/In a very special way - Capitol Great and very indemand funky soul! Thanks for looking! Link to comment Social source share

Is that why the Stack of Hits LP fetches much more than the Midsong issue of the LP ? Can you please clarify the differences between the two LPs ? Guest Fredrik
Is that why the Stack of Hits LP fetches much more than the Midsong issue of the LP ? Can you please clarify the differences between the two LPs ? As I said non of these two tracks are on the Midsong Lp (which is a cheapie btw). I don't have the Stack of Hits lp myself but if I remember correctly it is mainly made up of Midsong material but not exactly the same versions (extended discofied version of "I'm in heaven", etc). Surely there is someone on here with more knowledge of this lp than me? Just noticed that dustygroove writes this about the Stack-of-hits release: "And just for the record, this appears to be the same record as I'm In Heaven, issued on the Midland label in 1976 -- but it's presented here on another label with a date of 1981." This is not correct, these two tracks are not on the Midsong lp (got a copy myself). The lp was released in 1976 this 45 is from 1977. Guest Fredrik
I have recieved offers on both of these that I'm willing to accept. However, to give everyone a fair chance to place an offer I decided to run this "mini-auction" through wednesday night and will inform the winners thursday morning. Guest Fredrik
OK, everyone who wants to make an offer on any of these has to do so before 8:00 AM CET tomorrow morning. After that I will only give non-winning bidders a quick chance to reconsider their offers. Current offers (no comments on prices in this thread please): Touch of class: £100 Brief Encounter: $320 Minimum increments on these offers £10 (TOC) and $20 (BE). Thanks for all offers so far! PS. For anyone who doubts the rarity of TOC (well I did myself ) I can only say that it took me well over a year (with probably little competition from other collectors) to locate my own copy. DS.
