pikeys dog Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Either can be had for under £25. Mike Warburton had a JV copy in his sales box for £15 a while back.
Denbo Posted October 8, 2007 Author Posted October 8, 2007 Either can be had for under £25. Mike Warburton had a JV copy in his sales box for £15 a while back. Right, thanks. Did this come out on Ra-Bra first or Jay Vee / JV?
pikeys dog Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Right, thanks. Did this come out on Ra-Bra first or Jay Vee / JV? I don't know which is why I didn't say. Having seen both the labels, I'd guess at JV first, but it would be just that, a guess....
Guest Jean-Marc Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Blues Records 1943-1970 say Chicago 1970 Same recordings (doesn't say which label was first ...)
Denbo Posted October 8, 2007 Author Posted October 8, 2007 Blues Records 1943-1970 say Chicago 1970 Same recordings (doesn't say which label was first ...) Previous posting off Marcus Gora reckons Ra-Bra is the first release. Thanks everybody.
boba Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Previous posting off Marcus Gora reckons Ra-Bra is the first release. Thanks everybody. I don't know either, I've actually only ever seen it on J-V. Ra bra was owned by Gene Ammons, I think. Besides a bunch of Gene Ammons 45s, the only other record I know on the label is by the Allusions (Gary group who were also the Swinging Allusions).
