 Whilst at the Luton soul night I came across an aged man trying to stumble and slip-n-slide in time with the soulful platter on offer. I was all for escorting him off the floor and back to his warm bed at the old peoples home but was shocked to see that it was in fact one Mr Tim Brown, owner of some mighty fine 45's!! This was the look on my face at the time! So, my question is 2 fold: firstly, where the hell did he learn to 'dance' (and note the use of said word is for illustrative purposes only) and 2) is the size of your original collection directly in proportion to your ability to 'dance' (see note above) like a complete and total grandad (thought the emotive I used wasn't in keeping with the topic) I await enlightment from the soul police whistling.gif Edited by TheBigO

I too have seen this strange phenomena and must admit that at first i thought that he was in pain although later i was told that the dance was based on the mating ritual of the lesser spotted grebo, how true this is it is difficult to ascertain, Tim has been known to have an avid interest in the worlds flora and fauna whistling.gif

I think you wiil find a lot of guys with big collections don't cut it on the dancefloor because they have spent too much time out the back around the record boxes..Big collectors/djs/promoters aint the ones keeping the floor going...I would like to see some record dealers leave there stool for an hour or so and dance but they think they are missing something while they are gone...Its 2 different worlds aint it...I have always been with the punters around the dancefloor and away from the UNDERWORLD with secret handshakes wave.gif All these differnt elements make the scene what it is...

I'm the other way around. I can't bear to leave the dance hall to look at records, just in case I miss a record I want to dance to. It doesn't mean I don't like collecting records though. I just leave the geeky stuff for during the week.

Oh dear maybe that says more about my dancing style than anything!!

I bet Tim don't give a flying fart what he looks like on the dance floor with records he's got he should worry, remember the DJ dancing competition's at Cleethorpes way back now that was a sight to see, Ady, Roger Banks, Andy Rix, Myself...i was robbed to this day there's no way Andy Rix should have won, i fell over, Ady's spins are legendary, Banks through up all over Adams record box and the place rocked with cheers or was it pitty...lol

Regards - Mark Bicknell.

Tell you something that boy brown can move especially when we're totting up a deal and it nearly always ends up his way,my remedy is a simple pick up a nice £1000 tune and bend it over me head ! f*** me not only does he dance he sings and screams - the deal always goes my way...

Mr One-Trout! Again, you attack my dapper dress. I am truly hurt and will have to issue a Trading card in your honour as soon as I can. Now, I was going to ask if Tim was dancing to 'Mullet on the dancefloor?' by Ms Ellis-Bexter (is this Kev in drag?)last staurday, seeing as his fine locks are getting that way. Ady, I could mention the dancing Gopher at the Dome that night, if you can remember, but as I like you I won't!!!!
