Guest Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Was talking about Maurice Williams - Being Without You - Deesu the other day with fellow collectors and no one could ever remember seeing a demo copy of it, especially a white demo. Anyone got or seen one?
Dave Moore Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Not seen. Not heard of one either. Be nice to think there's one out there somewhere eh?
45cellar Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 (edited) Not seen. Not heard of one either. Be nice to think there's one out there somewhere eh? Certainly would be nice, can we ever be 100% sure with releases such as this one. I've often wondered about the reasoning behind the DEMO. Just how much thought they gave about White, Multicoloured or just the Stock Copy with a Sticker. Some labels appear to have tried all three variations for the same release, and others none. It may have been dictated by the cost I suppose. We have had similar threads about other records "Out On The Floor" by Dobie Gray on Charger was one discussed, it followed previous releases on Charger that had a DEMO and then Nothing..... It remains, as far as I am aware Only Available as a Stock Copy on Charger. Strange Goings On, It's fun to search for the elusive stuff though, whether it be a Rare DEMO or Rare Stock Copy. as Pete-S proved with the amazing find of The Camp - Marching on Scepter Things do still turn up, even in 2007.
