Guest Tommy Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 It's about 300 pound, innit? Tend to see her other "Let our love grow higher" than this one. Very rare indeed. Tommy.
Steve G Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 It's about 300 pound, innit? Tend to see her other "Let our love grow higher" than this one. Tommy. link I think that's about right. "Try" is very similar in style to the one she did on Atlantic (which is about £5), but she's one of those artists who never really made a bad one. 4 or 5 records in all, and all good. "Let our love grow higher" has some of the most amazing crumming you'll hear on a record imvho

Guest Johnny One Trout Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Last few i have seen have been £350 and £400 great record though Karen xx
Guest Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 "Higher" never really cut the mustard for me, but "Try" has got that right ingredient.
Guest Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 "Let Our Love Grow Higher" must be one of the grooviest records ever played on the scene, the vocals are rather horrendous in parts IMO but still somehow manages to stay on the right side of unbearable, it's a close call though and had it not been for the incredible backing I would probably have used it as a frisbee! Does anyone have a complete discography of her recordings btw?

Garethx Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 (edited) Don't think the vocals on "Let Our Love Grow Higher" are horrendous in any sense: naive and gauche maybe, but married to that tune and that rhythm track: perfect; hurried, impassioned, in the moment. For me this is one of the records that define our scene. Eula's other records are okay, but surely no more than that. With the Super Sound 45, however, she genuinely touched immortality.
