I am looking for an MP3 of a fast wigan type track to put with a architectural CAD flythrough for a presentation that I am pulling together, I thought of So is the Sun and 7 Days too long but neither seem suitable.

I am not a big fan of the wigan stuff more beat ballads and mid tempo newies, Capital Soul Club etc .. so all advice welcome.

I am very much a Southerner so any help gratefully received.

Thanks

The Jades - I'm Where Its At

Posted (edited)

I think an instrumental would be better.

Luther Ingram - Exus Trek

or something along those lines.

I think a vocal would be distracting from the presentation.

But what do I know wink.gif

Wigans chosen few would go down well with the pounding version of Skiing in the snow, or the old wully bully 'footsee'.

Whats wrong with me.

Baby.

Dont forget the deep soul style 'Love Hustle'.

So much soul played at Wigan. Wait a minute. Nine times out of ten. The Joker went wild. My hearts symphony. What choice.

Would Gloria Jones - Tainted Love, do the trick?

At least some of the people you are presenting to may have heard of the song.....Just a thought.

If it's a fly through, what about 'On a Magic Carpet Ride' by Kiki Dee - PERFECT for the job. I'll accept 15% of any fee you get for my useful input!!! :shades:

Was Sandy Sheldon a Wigan track?

link

Sandi Sheldon was played at Wigan as an oldie. By the time the Casino opened that slab of soul perfection had booted and of course dropped by the major DJ's.

Cheers Dayo.

I tend to think of Wigan as more end of (Wigan?) pier than taste. (I've always been a bit of a heretic)

Many's the slip springs to mind.

Manys the Slip was definately a Levine Play. At first when he brought it back from the states he was claiming it was the vocal to Bok To Back whistling.gif
