s7oul Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Lee Fields - Tyras Song / Take Me Back, recent comments on this record always refer to the Angle 3 release. Anyone have the one on A&T Records. Flipside being You're My Weakness, which was also issued Angle 3 ? I would assume this is a rarer local release ? Pat
Jason S Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Lee Fields - Tyras Song / Take Me Back, recent comments on this record always refer to the Angle 3 release. Anyone have the one on A&T Records. Flipside being You're My Weakness, which was also issued Angle 3 ? I would assume this is a rarer local release ? Pat I had them both (the Angle 3 and A&T) but flogged the Angle 3 - still got the A&T issue. I supposed if you want both sides then the Angle 3 of Tyra's Song is the one to have (with Take Me back on it) and I guess it's the more indemand of the issues (what with it having both cuts on). I prefer 'Tyra's Song' personally so it didn't hurt to let the Angle 3 go. Man's still got the voice
John Benson Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 ,I`m sure mine came in a Soul pack many moons ago, might have been a Soul Bowl one Dave f............ I always liked "Tyra's song" going back to shortly after 'TMB' had plays at the Mecca (which would be when I bought it) - they were between 3 and 5 quid then as I recall. Both sides used to get the odd spin out round our way at that time although "Take me back " was the more popular of the two sides. But alas, like many other good tunes, they seem to get put to one side for the next contender and in this case lie dormant for some years before surfacing again. Hmmm - I wonder where my copy has got to...it's in there somewhere!
