Pauldonnelly
Records that when you first heard them you thought "what a crock of shyte" then as the years pass you by you realise just how good they are. The Casanova Two...We got to keep on. Steve Elliot played me this downstairs in Selectadics before it was even known..."got 6 copies £2 each"..."f*** of Steve thats shit, I'll take Condition Red mate" 34 years later Casanove two sits proud in my collection as a masterpiece... anyone else? Pete S
When Richard and Alan Rhodes first started playing Sam Williams - Love Slipped Thru My Fingers I;d leave the dancefloor in protest, that terrible caterwailing female backing singer on the intro made me cover my ears. I think it was maybe a year or two later when it came out on Grapevine that I started to appreciate it. After about 5 years it was up there with many of my favourites, and now 30 years on it never leaves my top 10. I still don't like the girl backing vocalist though.
