Billy Prophet - What Can I Do? B/W Sad Sam - Sue White Demo - Sue 133 - 65-54-214 NUMBER SCRATCHED IN DEADWAX.

Hope this helps.

Regards - Mark Bicknell.

Hi Mark

this has 65-SU-214 scratched in and 65-SU-188 on Sad Sam side ( I suppose the SU could be mistaken for 54 but the SU corresponds to the issue number under the 133 on the label). Margorie Black 'one more hurt' has the same SU in the middle of the numbers and I don't think this has been booted). Could you please double check and let me know if we agree.

Thanks

Julian

Julian, spot on same as mine mate, all numbers in deadwax as above same as mine, I don't think it was ever booted as a white demo, the orange ones are perhaps another story?....where's Pete Smith or JM when you need them....lol I have several Sue Demo's like this.

mine is slightly different - it doesn't have Sue records on the left ( although the face and stars look identical). Also the title is on 2 lines.

The plot thickens!

How do I do a scan?

Sorry to say it was booted as a white demo without the SUE above the face.

Mines a strange copy..single sided vinyl, matt black label on non playing b side but with no 'demo,dj copy or audition' on label...

Hope you only paid half price for half a record, Nick

West coast info,

California west coast demo is orange, made at Monarch record plant , and has a Delta Number 58579 (about 1965/6) in the run-out groove. Pressing/boot was also made at Monarch, and is orange with Delta Number 100271 (about 1974/5) in the run-out groove.
