Pete S Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Just wondered if The Swordsmen ever put an album out. I've got 2 x 10" acetates by them. You Need Love is an uptempo-ish track, Here I Am is a soulful ballad. I think Here I Am came out on 45 but am not sure about You Need Love. Neither is my type of thing so I'll put some sound files up later see if anyone is interested in them. cheers.

Disgusted and discouraged is the track I remember Richard Searling playing, I think this is album only too.
Jaco Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Don't know if it's the same group but there is an album on the Light label - "Walkin' in God's country " by the Swordsmen. It's a gospel album from 1970.
Guest martyn Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Disgusted and discouraged is the track I remember Richard Searling playing, I think this is album only too. I've had this album for years, don't think I have bothered playing it since I got it in 1980.I saw one on Ebay a couple of years ago for $25. If you are looking for one Pete give me a shout.

Djmelismo Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 I have the two RCA albums by the Swordsmen. By no means rare, they crop up every now and then, at least around where I live. Nice albums methinks.
