The contact from Jesse Davis must be attributed to the the power of Soul Source ! It was only last week on here that we had a thread going on Jesse Davis and his LP with that great version of "Stormy". Obviously word travels through cyberspace ... Let's hope someone brings him over to perform his Northern biggies ... Link to comment Social source share
Ady Croasdell
Hi Diane the record company I work for recently bought the Era label so we'll be looking to do some work with Jesse over the next few months once we start our reissue project for that label. We recently had Jim Gilstrap sing Gonna Hang On In There for Sherlie Matthews (the song's writer) Mirwood Revue but it would be great to hear Jesse singing the original. Ritchieandrew
Just like to say that I met Jesse Davis in 2004, and he was a great person, not only with regard to his own recordings, but also the L.A. scene in general (Past & Present). I do hope that some of his past recordings could see the light of day here in the UK. Good on you Jesse, your a "Diamond". Best Regards Ritchie Andrew.
