Scallybob Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 Why do some, like Spyder Turner, have the cartoon lion holding a record but others, like the Embers, don't?

Gene-r Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Why do some, like Spyder Turner, have the cartoon lion holding a record but others, like the Embers, don't? link Basically, it's all down to "era"! The cartoon lion holding the record appeared on US MGM Demos between 1958 to 1968. "Watch Out Girl" by the Embers was a 1970 release, by which time MGM had done away with their "mane" character (excuse the pun!). The lion appeared on certain UK MGM Demos between 1967 and 1969.
Scallybob Posted February 21, 2005 Author Posted February 21, 2005 Thanks for that. I'm now furrowing my brow trying to remember which MGM demos have the lion and which don't but I'm sure you're right. Cheers.
