Guest Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 (edited) Hello all, This is my first post here. This site is fantastic. So, while I listen to my Future Flight LP, I have this question about a reggae 45. I found a test 45, plain white paper label, red ink stamped TEST PRESS that I'd like to know a bit more about. One side is Ras Shiloh -Say You Love Jah- b/w Ras Shiloh and Ras Shaka -Combination Chant-. Ras Shiloh is/was formerly Thomas Williams. Other than the red ink stamp, everything else is handwritten in ball-point pen. Oh yeah, great reggae/ska sound. The label is placed on the disc very akwardly - it covers some of the info in the dead wax. What I can read on "Say You Love Jah" side is what may be "ayre". Flip side deadwax shows what looks like "AA Side WML Combination (several garbled letters) Love Jah" and again what may be "ayre". I've researched Ras Shiloh and Ras Shaka and learned that Ras Shiloh released "Say You Love Jah" with the help of Ras Shaka, making this the first Ras Shiloh release. What I can't find is any information, anywhere, that this test was ever released commercially as a 7-inch 45. I do know that "Say You Love Jah" has been released on an LP and CD. Any reggae/ska fans out there who may know more about this test disc, like if it was released on 7-inch, what year it was released, and what the label was? Thanks Edited September 7, 2007 by severndude
