Dave Moore Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Have sold a 45 to a member of SSource. ($400.00) Agreed to send record before payment was made. Not been paid. Agreement was: Paypal last Thursday. Have sent numerous emails/pms. No replies. I need the money to pass to other collectors for stuff I bought. How long before I name and shame?
Supercorsa Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 If you click on their name, their profile shows up. This will tell you when they last visited the site, might then know if they've read pm's. I would seek assistance from Mike before naming and shaming, just incase he knows of multiple accounts and such like.

Tuff one to call Dave, as we are mates you sent me that Symbol Demo the other week before I sent the money, trust and understanding I guess, I got the tune and you finally lol got the payment which was never in question, if you have done the same to someone you don't know that well and you are still waiting for payment then there is no excuse, perhaps give the person one more chance to send payment with a polite IM then I feel you will have no choice but to name and shame, or at the very least ask them to return the 45 if they are having problems meeting the payment. Regards - Mark Bicknell.

Not replied to emails either though, maybe IT probs?

Guest Roccia Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 I'm jumping on this thread to tell a similar story, and eventually asking for suggestions... Bought a record from a SS member, sent a money order three months ago, and never received anything... The seller replied to my first couple of PMs telling he's got the payment, and I would had the record as soon as possible... After so long time he doesn't reply to my PMs and emails, but I KNOW he has read them because I've checked his last visits on the forum on his profile page... My first tought would be to knock at his door and ask for the record, or for my money back, but I'm living in Italy and he's living in England, and for 55 quid it doesn't worth the journey... Bear in mind that the tone of my PMs has always been very friendly and kind... Any suggestion...? Thanks Roccia
Dave Moore Posted September 6, 2007 Author Posted September 6, 2007 Thanks ofr the PMs guys, just an update: I've spoken to to the guy who 'bought' the record. He siad he would pay me via paypal last Tuesday alas, no payment. In his defence, he has a problem with his computer. He's then said he's gonna send me the cash. I'm hoping the guy is true to his word as I don't really wanna name and sha me him. But I will if I need to. Brian, Thanks for the offer, but our Mick will go pick it up if needs be. That should do the trick. Roccia, It's unacceptable Mate. If three months after you've paid you still haven'y got the record in my opinion, you are well within your rights to name and shame the person. You have shown more patience than I would my friend.

I know Dave, but I'd rather not name & shame him yet. I hope he reads this post, and decide to send me the record I've paid three months ago... Before i will N&S him... Thanks for your support. I hope he reads this and does the right thing. Everyone has the odd drama now and then, that's accepted. Paypal goes wrong, Ebay goes wrong, telly blows up folks overspend now and then etc etc. My problem is when people just 'disappear' on you and don't communicate properly. I like to think I'm a pretty fair bloke and I send 45s to people before they pay on a weekly basis. Never had a drama before. Hope you get sorted Mate.
Guest Roccia Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Dave, as you've said I'm a gentleman (and proud to be)... I've just sent a PM & email to the seller of the never received 45", claiming for the record or for my money back, otherwise I'll post the whole story on this forum, warning the readers to don't buy records from him... Roccia

Guest Roccia Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Good news! I've just received a PM from the seller. He gives me apologies for what's happened, says that's not his normal way to deal, and he offers me a total refund. Happy ending... BTW, no. He wasn't Pete Smith... Roccia

Roccia Yeah shame you had to threaten him with exposure on here though isn't it, you should have named him.

A bad time could happen... Maybe he had some serious problems. How can I know it...? The important thing is that the story is going to a happy end...
