Reg Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Sure we've had a similar thread before but just been watching the refosoul video clips of Tony's in the mid eighties. You can just catch me walking up the stairs at the beginning behind my old friend Julie! I was a lot thinner then Wasn't everybody better looking and better at dancing for sure!! Although there was an abundance of curly perms Was probably only a few years after Wigan so we were all still young (I was only 17 or so).... Can anybody else spot themselves on the video/s? I can spot a few younger looking familiar faces in the queue!
Mark R Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 I'm sure that video is the one with a young Glyn Reardon from Nuneaton on it, and a young Mrs "Fluff" Freeman...........sure Mark will confirm. I'm sure my old friends Andy & Tracy Newman (no longer together) are on there too. Travelled a bit with them in the 80's, particularly to Parr Hall..........some right laughs along the way. Hadn't seen Andy for years, and had a nice surprise at Presatyn a few years back when I was spinning a few tunes in the Vic Friday afternoon and in he walks.........see him regularly at those kind of events now. Think he only comes to weekenders as he now live in IOW. Never went to Tony's myself though! Cheers, Mark R

I can spot a few younger looking familiar faces in the queue! Was there when they were filming early doors (Debbie Troops was the director if memory serves?). I'm not on the video though obviously the editor had taste. Did my best to put Dean and (a tashed) Kitch off when being interviewed but they were pros to the core. Curley perm? Yup sounds familiar. Guys Soultown Nighters at all venues were blinding, just look at the DJ line up on the flyers Edited September 1, 2007 by Byrney
