Matt, if it is a good record or not kind of depends, since I don´t know your taste

It is not in my top 10 of modern soul albums, but it´s a good enough record and should be quite cheap.

I like the uptempo numbers "Bad Company" and "Rock Me", the midtempo "You´re Gonna Wanna Come Back", and the slowie "Love Had Changed My Life". Album produced by Ashford & Simpson and mainly recorded at Sigma Sound Studios.

I have another record that she put out in 1979 under her first name only Ullanda. It´s called Love Zone and features loads of disco and only one soul ballad called "Round And Round". I prefer the 1981 set.

I love 70's more than any other period.....but i consider it from late 78 when things started to get played Wolverhampton and the sourrounding area being the major area at first along with Richard Sam Arthur and a few others dotted around the country

It was issued on a Glades 45. A bit slower than the Millie Jackson but a great record nonetheless.

I think a choon is related to tunage in some way, if it were acapella they'd be going round saying "songage" or "lyrix", and still thinking it made them sound cool.

I've got the LP and both 45s by them, but haven't played the album since the late 70's . So can't remember what it's like anymore

I can't recall anything special apart from the two tracks which were both played at that time: "Let there be love" (Soul Sam spin) and "Love knocks you down" (Mecca spin)

I do remember seeing the LP on ABC a while after the Little Star release, so you'd have thought it was popular enough at that time. But I seem to remember reading fairly recently (on here?) that it was due to HB Barnum moving over to ABC at that period.
