Steve L Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Bobby Long & the dealers - I Gotta have love too ( Old Town ) Just came across this nice crossover tune, asked a few knowledgable people in the back room at Bentinck and at Sheffield tonight - nobody seems to know much about it. Anyone out there got any info? Is it widely known, been played etc?
Sean Hampsey Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Anyone out there got any info? Is it widely known, been played etc? It's quite well known 'Crossover' and was recently featured on a Kent CD "Old Town & Barry Soul Survey" (available from Amazon etc.). I guess Ady will know all about it. Paul Capon had it for sale recently @ around £80. Sean
FrankM Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 I picked mine up in The Barras years ago and always thought it was a pressing till some kind soulie instead of offering me a fiver for it, ID'd it as an original and pointed out that the Old Town paper label was that sparse.
Sebastian Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 A truly superb tune. Fairly well known in my experience though.
