Guest MARTIN SNOW Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Plenty of photos but there appears to be a slight shortfall in the gramatic content of this listing. https://cgi.ebay.com/MUSIC-RECORD_W0QQitemZ...tem120153644956

Guest MARTIN SNOW Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 (edited) Just bumping this one because the first listing mentioned really is such a classic ! I also just noticed that if you view the pictures as a slide show the seller effectively shows you the opening instructions ! Essential all round entertainment ! Steve G Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 IT'S ABOUT 12 INCHES IN DIAMETER I was gonna ask him the precise measurement and tell him my turntable won't play anything larger than a 12"record which is precisely 12"
Guest Gogs Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Same here mate, especially at the memaw memaw bit Lenny hi big man sure i've got a copy lying around somewhere so i might just hold you to this gordon

I'm going to contact him right now and ask him what the circumference is.
Guest MARTIN SNOW Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Brilliant, youve given me an idea. I'm going to contact him right now and ask him what the circumference is. Here we go, just sent this, I await any answer with interest : hi, i was thinking of bidding on your Instant Replay twelve inch record but was a little worried about the exact size of it as it was only described as only ABOUT 12 inches in diameter which made me wonder if it had been reduced in size at the edges for some reason ? in order to verify it being an original could you please measure the circumference and message me back as I still might be interested in buying it even though i see it ended (with no bids). thanks.
Guest Baz Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Oh no send out the firing squad......................
Guest Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 But he wrote 33 1/2 (and not 33 1/3, which is correct). Put it down to the time difference ...... Malc Burton

Ask him: "what is the total surface area (in centimeters please), and what is the exact proportion of the whole (but not the 'hole') taken up by the label in regard to the vinyl/playing surface"... That'll keep him busy!

A 12 inch doesn't actually meassure 12" accross it measures slightly less, so he discription was correct
mrs soul Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 A 12 inch doesn't actually meassure 12" accross it measures slightly less, so he discription was correct you could apply that to all men are you vintage or retro records collectors, thats what I want to know

Guest MARTIN SNOW Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 (edited) Brilliant, youve given me an idea. I'm going to contact him right now and ask him what the circumference is. JUST RECEIVED A REPLY FROM THE SELLER WHO SEEMS EVEN MORE CONFUSED. THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT WOULD SUGGEST IT NOT BEING CAROL VORDERMAN : the circumference of the record is 37.704 square inches - charteytheo Edited September 3, 2007 by MARTIN SNOW
