pikeys dog Posted August 25, 2007 Author Posted August 25, 2007 Value? Not that it matters, as I got it in a job lot that wasn't much more than the seller said he paid for this individual track (and the rest of the pack was worth about three times what I paid for it). Just wondered if he'd had his leg lifted by somone, or if it genuinely rare?
boba Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 recorded in 1968, memphis. same group as Gents and the Lady and also same group as Numbers on Banashak. a great 45! what is the numbers 45? Does it have a group side? Thanks
Guest lotusland Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 what is the numbers 45? Does it have a group side? Thanks To answer both your questions.. The ACT III is quite rare I think. It's only been on Ebay once before (it did pretty well). The Memphis boys I know said they never ever saw it locally. Add to the fact that it's still relatively unknown , and that it's musically strong, and I think it could/would be considered a 200-250 gbp 45. I saw it listed alot cheaper once, but I think it was kind of uninformed and it sold instantly. To Boba.. It has the same kind of 'group' sound as Act III. The same female lead and the two guys doing backups. I believe on both sides. It's ok, but not mind-bending. It is very rare, though.
chriscarnahan2 Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 this must be the same memphis 'numbers' group that had a 45 on rolashed?
