Guest Simon
What's the best set you've ever heard at a do, one that was so mind-blowingly good it's always stuck with you. I've got a couple that spring instantly to mind: Molly at the Brighton Volks alldayer a few years back - Molly was so up for it & so were the crowd that i'm sure that the room was actually shaking! Steve Csordas at the Concorde Allnighter in Brighton a few months back - A few djs had gone on before & played perfectly respectable sets but Steve just came on & lifted it to a completely different level, i couldn't help but dance to every single record in his set (something i've very rarely ever done to anyones set), it was just all consuming. Peter99
It has to be one of Richard Searlings sets at the Casino - circa 79. Great 60's newies and some great early modern. Some of Sams sets too - but can't be specific. Link to comment Social source share

I do as you know Ken, just that those two dos sprang to mind & even if i say so myself we've had a few good dos in Brighton in recent years. If you wish me to go outside London i agree with Jo about Ian Clarke at Cleethorpes, his sets lifted the event to a different level. Simon Link to comment Social source share

Guest in town Mikey
Noooooooo!! The sixties newies mafia. This was something I never, never liked!! But each to their own. There was one particular night where Keb and Guy both had about 30 new things they wanted to play. EACH. Man that was one incredible set of sets. One sticks out in particular. The ladies nights at the 100 club are exceptional. Maybe its the heart talking, but That girl lynne's set at one was superb. Even chucking in a popular Supremes tune.
