Prophonics 2029 Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 (edited) Move It Baby Singing Sam On Dan-Dy Green or the turquoise, the green is a Sheldon press and has a fresh sound to it the other is a bit woolly sounding, both are good recordings. I will put both sound clips up out of interest to anyone. Edited August 20, 2007 by Prophonics 2026

boba Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 is this the same guy as Singing Sam and the Sparks on Honey? and what about Sam Chatmon and the Sparks on Boss? Supposedly the same guy, also the same guy as Sam and Kitty. The thing is, though, that Sam Chatmon is currently a big guy on the Steppers scene here in Chicago and people that know him told me it wasn't him. I still have never talked to him personally though.

Sorry - I know this is a rather old thread, but Sam Chatmon's Wikipedia page may explain why no one has been able to talk to him. Assuming it's the same man, he was born in 1897 and died in 1983. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Chatmon
Guest in town Mikey Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 thought it sounded a bit flat................... That hasnt stopped the Professionals - Thats Why I Love You or the Adventures - Easy Baby, being popular.
soulsalmon Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Always thought this was Sam Ward ?,could be wrong
Guest oldsoulgit Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Yes It Was Sam Ward at Morecombe in the early 90s I think, cheers Jim.
boba Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 my previous information was actually wrong, singing sam on dandy is the same person as sam and kitty, he's leroy dandridge. He isn't the same person as singing sam and the sparks or the guy who recorded on boss.
