I read this forum daily, and to answer the question whether videos posted on YouTube are being saved, I have every video that the forum has identified on YouTube to date. Of the 43,000 music videos I have, over 700 are of Northern Artists/Records of the original era. In fact, some of the most fantastic clips have to date not been uploaded to YouTube. Most collectors don't identify their collection by track, so you have to know who appeared on what show. This can now be researched through fantastic archive work by some key US collectors who share their information with other collectors. Once you know a track was broadcast, then you have to find someone who has the show. That acheived, you have to entice the show through a trade as most don't sell. Eventually, after a lot of hard work you get the show and hence the track. People well known in the NS circles regularly visit me for four hour eveninmg sessions to watch this footage with a few beers. They naturally don't want to watch the same thing time after time, so I'm constantly trading and collecting to make this more interesting. Some shows have been in circulation for years with the vast number of sixties video collectors in the US. Others are in very few collections and as such, contain rarities very rarely seen. If the forum is interested, I could post a list of all NS footage I have (This is from the actual era and not modern day re-recordings, although some offer the only known footage i.e. I've got the fever - The Prophets). The forum would have a big surprise at the amount that exists especially with major NS artists such as Dobie Gray, Major Lance, Gene Chandler, Brenda Holloway etc.

Jerry Fuller performed "I get carried away" and "What happened to the music" on Shivaree 24th July 1965 (Show # 26). On the same show were the Dixie Cups, Jimmy Witherspoon, Vicki Gomez (singing Boys are a dime a dozen) and The Rolling Stones. This is where this clip is from.

There were 71 Shivaree Shows boradcast from 23/01/1965 to 11/06/1966. I have the whole series that was broadcast nationally (shows 1-6 were not synidicated).

These shows feature appearances (two songs per show) by such NS notaries as Alvin Cash, Dobie Gray, Melinda Marx, Uniques, Major lance, Judy Hughes, Brenda Holloway, Gene Chandler, Reflections, Timi Yuro, Jerry Naylor, O'Jays, Jackie Wilson, Fred Hughes, Lulu Porter, Gene McDaniels, Dee Dee Warwick, Evie Sands, Astors, Barbara Lewis, Impressions, Ketty Lester, Lenny Welch, Mary Saenz, Hollywood Persuaders, Royalettes, Little Anthony, Barbara Mason, Toys, Contessas, Gloria Jones, Len barry, Parfays, Appolas, Dee Dee Sharp, Jackie Lee, Jiommy Holliday, Lou rawls, Johny Nash, Mitch Ryder, Christine Cooper, Newbeats etc.

I posted absolutely everything I had up to You Tube so that everyone could see it but you're not saying anything about posting any of your stuff up, just listing it...so unless we all come round to your house, how are we ever going to see it?

If this stuff were available anywhere for sale I'd buy the lot and post it up, but unless anyone knows otherwise, it's not..
