On several LPs "Cloud Nine" lp is the easiest way to find it.

issued on USA Gordy 939, UK Tamla Motown 5020 (1980 reissue) & 11109 1969 original

Wierd quirk though, it also appeared as a track on a compilation LP of "HITS" title escapes me at the moment it's on UK & USA from circa 1966. So it must have been scheduled for a 45 release that never happened. Perhaps someone can refresh my memory and tell me which LP it was.

dont think the temps recorded it in 1966 though surely. dennis edwards didnt replace david ruffin until 1968

must be a typing error on the cd or whatever the information was from. the release date but 1968 sounds more

nearer the mark and probably recorded for the cloud nine sessions

Proof there John that great and not so great minds do think alike!!

It deffo was a 60's compilation and I can see the cover in my mind. Those rectangles with artist and title. No idea of issue date as I don't have it but maybe 67/68 as Dave suggests.

I also seem to remember that it did get played once or twice at the Torch off that album along with Isleys and R.Dean Taylor which were off albums. I did have the LP then.

Whilst on Motown LP tracks, and bearing in mind current threads, I don't know if anyone has mentioned Stevie Wonder "Be calm be cool" offa "Down to Earth". Maybe more Northern than Motown?
