Just noticed this on yourtube, Intesting?

Once again, BRILLIANT!!!

I've never been particularly fond of this record and I very rarely like live recordings but for me, this is FAR SUPERIOR to the issued 45.

Anybody else think so?

In fact, for me, it's a completely different / superior 'take'.

ACTUALLY, I've just listened to the 45 on Soul Club . org and I'm guessing it was an import 45 which sounds very similar to the YouTube 45, in fact, it's almost identical BUT I'm convinced the UK 45 is a different / inferior cut. Can somebody help confirm / deny that?

Been known to play this out myself occasionally, a catchy tune, but on seeing that i'm sorry but its fukcin dreadful! but that's only IMHO

Each to their own i suppose but if thats Joe Stampling (looking like a news reader on stars in your eyes impersonating a popstar) then i am very disappointed!

I've seen Joe Stampley live a couple of times, post-Uniques of course. Great country artist, very soulful singer, just like his contemporary Ronnie Milsap.

BTW I'm still looking for a copy of "Not Too Long Ago" on Pye International, if anyone who browses this has one for sale...

The UK one misses the first note - not sure what instrument it is - but apart from that I think it's the same (I may be wrong)

What, the way he looks now makes it a bad record?

Point taken Pete, but never thought it was a masterpiece in music anyway, your right the visual aspect shouldn't be anything to do with the sound quality but hasn't it been put up here for us to look at? and taking that into account along with the tune itself my opinion is its dreadful!
