Modernsoulsucks Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 As this thread has been ressurrected, and features one of my favourites, then I'll chip in. Are you mistaking this re issue with the re recording & london release of Donnie Elbert "Little Peice Of Leather"? Not a patch on the original. Also "Looking At Tomorrow" to me just sounds too "pop" and nowhere near as good production or vocal as "You Just Don't Know" IMHO of course. Paul I may be but I coulda sworn I heard a copy that sounded nowt like CP release. Pete says it's the same so I guess it is but someone on here may have the London re-issue to check. ROD
max millward Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 (edited) OK Steve, We covered that one off on Post 34. Benelew said he saw a copy in 80/81... even before Stafford. Incredible how, even then, the record had been played on the Northern scene for 10 years or so before anyone knew about a US copy. yes i remember playing it at the catacombs in 71' as a uk only release max forgot to add a price for today £350-£400 i would guess at! Stuart Bower Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Yeah-I own a British CP demo of Chubby`s "At The Discotheque" which is light brown egg-shell coloured. Very scarce so I`ve been told. No idea of its value.
Guest Spinning Vinyl Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Soz straying away from the topic a smigeon but is Chubby Checker - Everythings Wrong - M UK Cameo worth anything??? Cheers in advance
