Guest NASHEE Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 HI Peeps. I was just wondering....like you do !! How often have you purchased a record....Thought 'F***ing hell the punters are gonna love this. THEN You Play it..& play it...& play it............NOTHING...NO REACTION AT ALL. So after its lingered in the back of your box for a few months....you finally & reluctantly sell it...to buy your next top want......Only to watch it go MASSIVE within a couple of weeks/months ??????? best Linda

I'm currently emptying floors with Flight - "Playing Your Games" on SGA but I'll stick with it. Maybe when Sam or Butch start to play it out people will realise what a tune it is.

I played it last Saturday and as you say, no one danced. I've put this killer Cathy and the Calendars - Please Don't Go - Port into my early-doors set, and correct no one dances but then I've on had 2 people dancing in 18 months and then Steve Gutteridge told them off... Another affordable that's going down equally as well is the Lovables - You can't dress up a broken Heart" same typa thing..bloody awesome girly Northern Soul. You have great taste by the way..
Geoff Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Please Don't Go used to be played by Martin Thomson (I'm sure it was him) at Soul In The City and I danced to it. Think it may have been played at the Dome, surprised if there weren't some dancers to it, good dance record, imo.
Geordiejohnson Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 i played come on and stop marv johnson and annabel ceaser little annie years-eons ago and was told to stop playing rock n roll, sold marv for a tenner so lost out there, kept hold of annabel for no real reason and then years later sold it for £250 quid.. as was pestered to sell it by the hardened northern soul fan who incidently told me to stop playing rock and roll ............ to be honest,... r&B and rock and roll they were...win some, lose some Geeoooordie
