Stubbsy Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Just arrived, copy of The Pandoras - "Call Me / Sweetheart, Sweetheart" - Oliver 2003 Bought it having heard "Call Me" spun from someone's sales box, when in Rimini. Nice catchy tune, if a little on the "poppy" side! Anyone provide any more info on this one, i.e.:- Who were the Pandoras? Is it "blue-eyed"? Ever been played out on the scene, or perhaps considered too poppy? Don't know how many records were issued on Oliver but Oliver 2002 is, of course, the mighty Steinways - "You've Been Leading Me On / My Heart's Not In It Anymore", IMHO one of the best double siders on the scene!
Guest Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 RE: PANDORAS - OLIVER 2003 DON'T WONDER WHY / CALL ME OLIVER 2007 Is credited to STEINWAYS I think "Call Me" is the same take on all these, not got them to hand to double check. Using my fading memory. SUE DARBY CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF YOU BABY / CALL ME OLIVER 2009 ALSO ISSUED ON CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF YOU BABY / CALL ME ABC 10898 I think the are all the same.. correct me if i'm wrong, though.
