Pete S Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 You'll either love it or hate it, this one's well known by UK collectors (on mercury) but if you can get past the skin tone of the singer, listen to that fabulous backing track...great stuff Download Video Youtube Link
Simsy Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 Nice arrangement of a catchy tune imo. His vocal does let it down a bit. A bit weak compared with the justice a true soul voice would do it.

Sounds great loud though mate. Might ask Mick Smith of he's got one of these for me. I like these 'dramatic' sounding tunes.

Pete S Posted August 7, 2007 Author Posted August 7, 2007 (edited) I found another version of this, this time he's singing live and the backing track is different - it's out of synch on the tape and looks like he's miming, but he's not - he only looks about 16! (this track now sound to me very Gene Pitney-ish) Download Video Youtube Link Edited August 7, 2007 by Pete-S

Guest nubes Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 The backing track is rather nice..just call for a richer male vocal IMH.....just imagine if it had been cut by Roy Hamilton or Jimmy Radcliffe or Jack Montgomery...what a storming mid tempo track that would be .. nice one Pete thanks,......Delxxx
