Simon M Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Blimey, I need to get out more....don't think I've ever heard this. Anyone got a sound clip?? Ta, Jo Soul Sam , plays it everytime ya know .. he got Clarkies copy
Guest Matt Male Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Joseph Webster I think i agree, not because i hear it out all the time but because i've overplayed it in the car on CD
Steve G Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Blimey, I need to get out more....don't think I've ever heard this. Anyone got a sound clip?? Ta, Jo U not heard this Jo??? I am shocked,,,,,,,sort of uptempo funky thing......
Guest Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Joseph Webster I'm with you on that one feels like it's been played since the mid-late 80's non stop ---- oh it has!!!!!!!! Derek
Stubbsy Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Blimey, I need to get out more....don't think I've ever heard this. Anyone got a sound clip?? Ta, Jo Great record IMHO. Jo, if you still haven't got a sound clip PM me on here, or e mail me, and I'll see if I've got an mp3.
Geoff Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I still love the Joseph Webster track, only hear it out if Soul Sam's DJing. MP3s are fine, but not the same as hearing it out in a club. I've got it as my ringtone on my phone, but that isn't the same. Suppose that makes me a bit sad, lol.
Geoff Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 On the subject of overplayed tracks, I must admit I am getting a bit tired of the Majestics' I Love You So Much It Hurts. Always got me on to the dance floor, but now I look forward to the next record. Doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it, just heard it too much.
Soulof Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 I feel like ending it all when 'Right track' comes on, what a boring overplayed plodder of a record ...not that you really hear it anymore that is, thank God. Ste. X I love Right track me. abs brill track. Guess you´ve heard it a few times more out than me though... Joanne Courcey is one I need to rest from a bit
Bazza Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 I can't say Im absolutley sick of any one particular tune...what does pee me off is when a DJ plays a whole set of over played "safe stuff"...this sort of behaviour is doing the scene no good at all ....just my opinion of course Bazza
Guest mark shepherd Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 corey blake - how can i go without you rubbish 45, does'nt do anything, does'nt go anywhere sick to death of hearing it, and ruby andrews biggy, just loving you, awful 45 shep, soul critic
Guest vinylvixen Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 U not heard this Jo??? I am shocked,,,,,,,sort of uptempo funky thing...... Steve, at least I put my hand up and admit to not knowing tracks........and since when have you ever known me to be uptempo and funky - I'm a plodding Detroit kinda girl Listened to the Webster track (thanks to Simon T) and a couple of things put me off - spoken intro and ho-hum vocals....but everyone to their own Jo

Always got me on to the dance floor, but now I look forward to the next record. Doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it, just heard it too much. Geoff, it could be re-titled 'I've heard it so much it hurts'....but I still have a sneaking love of this record purely because of the tijuana brass section which satisfies my Sombrero Soul fetish Jo
Steve G Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Steve, at least I put my hand up and admit to not knowing tracks........ Yes you do - it's just you must have missed all of Sam's spots for the last five years Uptempo and funky in Harlow - now there's a thought

Guest vinylvixen Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Yes you do - it's just you must have missed all of Sam's spots for the last five years Uptempo and funky in Harlow - now there's a thought You're right - I think I've dj'd on the same night with Sam twice in the last five years and to be honest, I could only name a couple of the tunes he plays. One is 'Love don't live' on AM:PM....and the other is... I enjoyed most of his set at Willington and the floor was rammed - but I still don't remember hearing Joseph Webster. I've probably got selective hearing these days Jo
