Hi

Can anyone identify this tune. Sorry can't put a soundclip up, but its from an old tape!

Female vocal, quite a powerful voice, midtempo. Starts with operatical "Ahhh Ahhhs"

then the lines "People are talking, about or affair, they say we can't make and we are not a very good pair" Chorus is "Let's prove them wrong"

Anyone any ideas???

Cheers m'dears!

Might be Debbie Taylor on GWP. I think it has the Hesitations on background vocals, too. Another Pied Piper creation, I think. Haven't heard it in a while, could be wrong...

Sounds about right, alto' Manship lists it at £20 for the other side, and describes the "lets prove them wrong " side as a ballad! Also on the tape it is a girlie backing, not, I think, the Hesitations.

Will have to investigate further, as both Soulclub jukebox and KTF have Debbie Taylor stuff, but not this one, which is a surprise, if it is her, as its definatly a 'player'. :wicked:

Hi Trev, it could well be the flipside of Bobby Moore...I carefully checked your heart....Kay-O 107 called Lets prove them wrong same song as Debbie Taylor but a lot harder to find.

HTH regards Mick

Thanks for the soundfile Chalky!

Thats the song, but the one I have on tape is a fair bit faster, definatly midtempo, unless, of course, Johnny Beggs, who's tape it is, pitched it up a few notches! I will have to ask him at lifeline. I doubt it tho' as the intro sounds slightly different, and the one I have sonds a bit earlier, production-wise.
