Went to the Rangers v FK Zeta game on Tues and bought a program and was astonished to see a label scan of Betty Everett getting mighty crowded in it. Apparently the dj at Ibrox used to play it at european games in the 80's. Anywhere else unusual you've seen a northern record ?

Think it was Oldham Athletic fans who had a "Keep the faith" banner on display at Carlisle last year

Not quite the same.....but there was a T-shirt going around Anfield with an Adidas trainer on the front and "northern sole" written underneath

i remember in the mid seventy's the forest fans used to sing ducan MacKenzie's name to the tune of Fathers angels " bok to bach" i think it was lost on him though that a lot of us would be dancing to the toon later at wig.

mick i never had u down for a soccerboy i saw ardiles and villa make there league debuts for spurs at forest around 79, spurs thrashed them 2 each ithink!!! not interested in the slightest these days but u must always stick by your side no matter, swoping clubs? never!!!!!!!!!!

It was them Gaz as they had it at Gills and i was only about 20 yards from it where i sit, it was in the bottom corner of their St Georges flag with the fist too

About ten years ago before the days of the internet,there was a flyer going around that was a mock up of a flyer for a soul night at goodison park

I dont know who made the thing but my suspicions lie at the hands of liverpool fans aluding to evertons reputation as a racist club

'Keep the Faith' is the Leicester City slogan as well. Working in Leicestershire i'm forever doing a double take every time i see an LCFC badge, then realise it's football not northern.

All football related, we also get lashings of commerical Northern at half time during each game.

Looking at The Cobblers fixture list, we play Brighton at the Crapdean stadium on August the 18th. A nice summer excursion to the seaside beckons and even better if there is a night of soul at which to celebrate a winning start to our away campaign! (And yes, Bearsy has been giving me lessons in unfounded optimism! )

B*gger me, if there isn't a do on the week before and the week after, but nothin on that weekend, unless anyone else knows differently? Help would be appreciated.

That is a serious consideration Bearsy and one which I will investigate fully! P.S Buy this months's "When Saturday Comes" and check out my Cobblers pre season write up! OH and congrats to Kent on winning the 20/20!
