Tony Smith Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Not including UK labels... Was thinking of Earl Harrison - Humphrey Stomp - came out on ABS, Garrison and Wand. Has anyone seen this, I thought along with Honey Bees it was just given a release No.?
45cellar Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 (edited) Has anyone seen this, I thought along with Honey Bees it was just given a release No.? & Now the Collectables, Label. If you Include U.K. Labels the list goes on, of course. Edited August 1, 2007 by 45cellar
45cellar Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Soul Symphony, and it's different titles, if that counts. Makes you wonder why it kept changing name, even in the U.K.
Md Records Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I believe John Weston owns the "Wand" copy of "Earl Harrison" that appeared in John Manship's Book.
Tony Smith Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I believe John Weston owns the "Wand" copy of "Earl Harrison" that appeared in John Manship's Book. I stand corrected

Sebastian Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 One on ebay about 3 days ago Tony It sold rather cheap as well at $108.
Harrogatesoul Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Wasn't that a bit cheap then for the Wand release? Regards, Rich
Steve G Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Has anyone seen this, I thought along with Honey Bees it was just given a release No.? Dave Withers had one for sale. Must say I still need this on Wand. Honey & The Bees did not come out on Wand......unless someone can tell us different:unsure:
pikeys dog Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Jimmy Robins - Jerhart, Mica & Impression Different mixes...
Ste Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 don't know if this qualifies, but i have 7 or 8 copies of "Beautiful Dreams" by Twiggy ( old Rob Smith cover-up, aka Samantha Jones, as mentioned in a previous thread) from various countries with different labels, inc Brazil, France, Holland, Japan, New Zealand...labels include Ember, Odeon, Capitol... will have to sort out one day. steve
Guest Johnny Mack Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Another one of these by Tony Price on Le Cam Soul Symphony, and it's different titles, if that counts. Makes you wonder why it kept changing name, even in the U.K.
45cellar Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 (edited) Another one of these by Tony Price on Le Cam Hi Thanks for the Info, Was it Instrumental or Vocal like these two. Edited August 2, 2007 by 45cellar
Sean Hampsey Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Hi Roger, That's really strange. I've never thought of "Get Out Of My Heart" as a vocal to "Soul Symphony" before. Ede Robin, certainly, but not Moses & Joshua. Must give 'em a listen again. Sean

funkyfeet Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Does that TEDDY VANN tune count there must be at least a dozen versions in it's different disguises.
Steve Thomas Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Tommy Neal, Pameline, Vault, Palmer USA and UK Vocalion must be a condtendrer. Regards - Mark Bicknell. Pameline, both pink and yellow labels steveT

Got this on Portugese Ember, Twiggy and the Silver Screen Syncopators, also on label as well as Twiggy and the Girlfriends. Record sounds like it plays at about 40rpm steve

Ede Robin, certainly, but not Moses & Joshua. Must give 'em a listen again. Sean Hi Sean Might be me, I always thought that the Instrumental was based on the "Get Out Of My Heart" track. or Visa-Versa. Not a straight Vocal to the Instrumental. If you know what I mean. Edited August 2, 2007 by 45cellar
Nickinstoke Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 How about the Ledgends "Gotta let you go" - OK it's not the Northern side, but it came out on Locket, Red Balloon and Commonwealth United
boba Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 throwaway instrumental flips got reused a lot as b-sides. For example, the 'soulin with the whatnauts' track got put on at least 3 singles I think. Also, there's all those dore 45s that reuse the same instrumental flip sides as filler.
Sean Hampsey Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Hi Sean Might be me, I always thought that the Instrumental was based on the "Get Out Of My Heart" track. or Visa-Versa. Not a straight Vocal to the Instrumental. If you know what I mean. Gotcha mate. I certainly see the similarity now you've pointed it out. Just never occurred to me before! Sean

Bjorn Nilsson Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 In a thread some time ago Eddie Billups - Shake Off That Dream was mentioned. Came out on Helpp, Garpax, Seventy 7 and Solid Gold. Two different takes/mixes though I think.
