Mark Jones Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Hi all, Just after a bit of advice. I bought a copy of The Coasters - Crazy Baby in the States for a few cents about 15 years ago. But I suspect it may be a pressing...not sure. I have scanned the labels and you can view them here https://ic0htsk00.ic24.net/bay/Coasters.htm So did I get a bargain or just a cheap pressing for 75 cents? Thanks in advance for the advice guys! Mark.
Ian Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Boots were on styrene pressed as issues, & originals demos & issues were vinyl. Ian
Mark Jones Posted February 9, 2005 Author Posted February 9, 2005 Boots were on styrene pressed as issues, & originals demos & issues were vinyl. Ian link Looks like I may be in luck then?
Chalky Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 Boots were on styrene pressed as issues, & originals demos & issues were vinyl. Ian link Originals on both styrene and vinyl.
Pete S Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 I don't understand that scan - one is a demo and one is an issue! I never buy issues of this record, it's the hardest of all to tell. It was booted in both styrene and vinyl. Always best to buy a white demo.
Craig W Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 I have the original of this which i bought around 15 years ago for 50p and it has the same shakey label print defect as your on Bell bottom side.Mine is yellow white design both sides. Re issue has delta # 95372 in the run out groove..

Re issue has delta # 95372 in the run out groove.. link Hi Craig mate, I picked one up in Germany for peanuts that has got the same print fault on the flip. I thought it must be a boot, although I did see a Yellow/White issue that had to be a boot, the 'font' style looked completely out of place. It's on vinyl and plays great. I'll check the boot delta against mine tonight. Hopefully that should clear up my doubt! Cheers, Jamie

Craig W Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 The delta number on mine is 65L - 9290 -1 on crazy side.
Tony Smith Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 it's a boot, I sold one earlier this year. The original Atco should have "AT" in the runout and a no misprinted type on the b-side.
Craig W Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 Thats pissed on my bonfire then  Oh well you learn something new every day.
Guest Jamie Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 Thats pissed on my bonfire then  Oh well you learn something new every day. link ....and mine
Guest Jamie Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 oops, sorry, I meant link It's in a box of crap at the moment, and I think that's where it'll be staying. That is unless you want it for one of your DJ spots??
Mark Jones Posted February 9, 2005 Author Posted February 9, 2005 The delta number on mine is 65L - 9290 -1 on crazy side. link Yep Craig...same delta number as you...Oh well, you win some....you lose most! PS...Craig W formerly of Shrewsbury?
Craig W Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 Yep Craig...same delta number as you...Oh well, you win some....you lose most! PS...Craig W formerly of Shrewsbury? link Think someone has asked this before but no Craig Westwood formerly of Sedgley/ Gornal.
Mark Jones Posted February 9, 2005 Author Posted February 9, 2005 Think someone has asked this before but no Craig Westwood formerly of Sedgley/ Gornal. link Sorry bout that mate! But close..was thinking of Craig West!
Paul R Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Mine has the delta 65c-9290, the yellow/white on both sides with perfect labels, AT in the runout, but compared to the disc above, where the surface curves down towards the centre hole, on mine it is more at an angle. The lable is mat and the disc is Styrene(grey edge)?. I always thought it to be original. But I mainly remember the boots with the shiney bubbled labels in about 75. I'm confused.
