July 19, 200717 yr you dont see many demos and especially in mint- condition most are issues and only in ex condition at best and they go for £1250 - £1400 so for me its what i would ask for it, if i had the money i would have it no worries as its as good as it gets

I did actually touch a copy once, Irish Greg played it at a do one time & i went up to the decks & said i'd to him i'd never seen a copy, after the record had finished he hit me on the arm with the record & said you've touched a copy now also! July 20, 200717 yr At the end of the day if i had £2000 in my pocket i'd buy it rather than wait for the next one to come along just to save a few hundred quid.. could be in a years time anyway. Same as John Manships records I buy a bit of of John and I know I'll pay more but when it turns up I know it will be in good nick.. unless its off that drop down auction... how many times have you bought something off ebay and thought I hope its alright, hope its in good nick only to find out the sellers VG+ and Your VG+ are quite differnt..
July 20, 200717 yr i sold one of these (demo) to someone on here in sept last year for £2,000. i thought it was a price at the high end of fair - they don't turn up often, very in demand, brilliant record. point is, i wouldn't sell for less and he was prepared to pay that.

Dan, how much commission would you charge to sell records for me, you get far more money for stuff than John does. Phil.

Phil. well i don't always phil i've just agreed to sell a little john on martay for 100 quid when it's apparently worth a fair bit more? i dunno. the thing is, i only sell things i have two of or when i get a bid which i regard as being so good that i will later see another one a bit cheaper. so the doubles go for market rate or what i think is fair, and the others i just wait on. if you wait long enough, someone will make you the offer you need. the imperial cs i had two of and i still regard what was paid for that to be a fair price (the guy who bought it is online at the mo and is a well-respected collector and dj of many years' standing, who buys massive sounds and small ones in equal measure, and is certainly no mug). i must say i was amazed that only went for 1500 quid on manship, when you think of how much some other tunes go for on there. the gene toones, my feeling was that i'd see another one day and it would be cheaper or inflation would have eroded the vakue of 2k, and i've been proven right on that.

The Little John only books at £75 see you always get more for stuff. Only joking Dan.... The Imperial c's was £1800 on J.M's, but the issue on ebay was much cheaper. I think where the big, quality indemanders are concerned, you always have more chance of getting top dollar. Good luck to you I say. Phil.
